Speak UP! Camp is the vision of two licensed English teachers, both native English speakers, who have a passion for working with young people. Naomi and Nicole have over 10 years experience in English and the Arts and teach at the esteemed HaKfar HaYarok school in Ramat Hasharon. They launched Speak UP! after realising that participants needed English during the long summer holidays but understandably did not want to be stuck in a traditional, formal classroom all summer long.

Speak UP! seeks to give youth a fun summer experience in the beautiful environment of the kfar, where they receive professional instruction in the arts, entirely in English. Participants have the opportunity to mingle and bond with non-Hebrew speaking campers and counselors, allowing them to find their voices through drama, art, dance, music and outdoor activities. There is no need to pack a suitcase to benefit from this authentic American camp experience - it takes place right here in Israel!

Participants learn English without even thinking about it, where a positive and fun exposure to English results in a new motivation to learn this important language. Speak UP! graduates benefit from improvement in vocabulary, familiarity with words and expressions, better comprehension and more confidence speaking, although we provide a stark contrast to the formal classroom learning with textbooks and tests from English in school.

Speak UP! seeks to put the love back into English that many participants have lost  in the classroom. Whether participants are struggling English language learners or native speakers, Speak UP! gives them a unique summer experience with no formulas, just fun!
