היי! אני נעמי, מורה לאנגלית, ספרות אנגלית ואומנות. נולדתי וגדלתי בסן פרנסיסקו היפהפייה. מאחורי עשר שנות ניסיון בהוראת נוער בארצות הברית ובישראל. כיום אני מלמדת אנגלית בבית הספר "הכפר הירוק", וזוכה לעבוד עם נוער מוכשר ויצירתי. אני בוגרת תואר ראשון באנגלית ואומנות מאוניברסיטת ניו יורק, ותואר שני בחינוך והורא באנגלית. עד שנת 2008, לפני עלייתי לארץ, עסקתי בהוראת אנגלית ואומנות בניו יורק. מלבד ההוראה אני תכשיטנית ובעלת עסק משלי, Malkeeta, ומוכרת תכשיטים עבודת יד בירידי אומנות בישראל ובחו"ל.
Naomi Strom Deri, Manager
Hi! I’m Naomi, an ESL teacher (English as a Second Language), English Literature teacher, and Art teacher, born and raised in beautiful San Francisco. I have ten years of experience working with youth both in the United States and Israel, and I currently teach English at HaKfar HaYarok, where I enjoy working with such a creative bunch of young people I graduated with a BA from New York University in English and Art, and an MA in English Education at Brooklyn College. Before making aliyah in 2008, I worked as an English and Art teacher in New York City. In addition, I have a jewelry business, Malkeeta, and I sell my hand-crafted jewelry at art fairs in Israel and abroad.

היי! אני ניקול, מורה לאנגלית
ולספרות אנגלית בבית הספר "הכפר הירוק". בשנת 2008 השלמתי לימודי תואר ראשון בספרות אנגלית ובכתיבה יוצרת באנגליה. לאחר מכן עליתי לארץ כדי להמלט ממזג האויר הקודר שבאנגליה! אני בוגרת החוג להוראה במכללת בית ברל והוראה היא אחת מאהבותיי הגדולות. אני לא רואה עצמי עוסקת בשום מקצוע אחר.
מאחוריי עשר שנות הוראה בחינוך הפורמלי והבלתי פורמלי. ניסיוני כולל, בין היתר, הדרכה בפרוייקט "תגלית", ניהול חוגים, ובימוי וכוראוגראפיה ל סטודנטים. וידוי אישי: אמי אף היא מורה ואני עדיין שואלת ממנה חומרי לימוד. כנראה שהוראה עוברת בתורשה!
Nicole Georgy, Manager
Hi, I'm Nicole, a teacher of ESL and English Literature. I taught at Hakfar Hayarok middle and high school for 8 years, where I was the middle school head of English. I gained my degree in English Literature and Creative Writing in England in 2008 and studied UEA's prestigious MA in creative writing in 2021. I have a teaching certificate in English Education from Beit Berl College and absolutely love teaching and being in the classroom, especially coming up with creative lesson ideas. I have led youth movements and directed and choreographed musical productions for students. I am also a fiction writer and when I'm not teaching, you will usually find me working on the draft of my latest thriller.
על הכפר
הכפר הירוק ע"ש לוי אשכול הוא פינת חמד ירוקה ופורחת בלב אזור המרכז בין רמת השרון לתל אביב . הכפר נוסד ב-1950 . מייסדו , גרשון זק היה מפקדו הראשון של חיל הים ויועצו של דוד בן גוריון לענייני תכנון ובנייה .
החזון שהדריך את גרשון זק בהקמת כפר נוער , היה חזונה של הציונות הסוציאליסטית החלוצית והצורך בשילובם ובקידומם של צעירים עולים בחברה הישראלית המתחדשת .
הוא רצה להקים כפר נוער שיהא בו משהו ייחודי : שתהיה בו חברת נוער עצמאית ובעלת תחומי פעולה מוגדרים הנמסרים לה בשלמותם , ללא זכות התערבות המבוגרים - פרט לבריאות , לביטחון ולבית הספר. גישה זו הייתה אחת מאבני היסוד של החינוך החברתי שהיה ייחודי לכפר הירוק.
כיום מתחנכים בכפר כ-500 תלמידי פנימייה וכ-1,500 תלמידי חוץ, ילידי הארץ ועולים חדשים, הלומדים יחד וחיים בפנימייה חמה ומטופחת.
HaKfar HaYarok Youth Village
The first youth village at Hakfar Hayarok (“The Green Village”) was founded in 1950, part of the Zionist program of David Ben Gurion tasked with smoothly integrating immigrant youth into current Israeli society.
Today there are 2000 students at the Kfar, of which some 400 live at the school. The fertile and flourishing school grounds cover 500 acres and embrace many industries, including:
- An agricultural farm
- A veterinary hospital
- A Visitors Center
- A college
- A center for gifted students
- Hakfar Hayarok Environmental Leadership junior high and high school.
